Q. What engines can be used in the class?
A. Biland SA250, PRD Fireball, IAME Leopard, Rotax MAX
Q. If another brand of engine is faster does this mean I have to buy a new engine to be competitive?
A. TaG Australia constantly monitors the parity of the class. If one engine is seen to be dominating, the weights of the class will be changed. Weight can be changed at any time by TaG Australia to improve parity.
Q. What tyres are run in TaG?
A. Various.
Rotax MAX: Bridgestone YJC
IAME Leopard: MG Yellow
PRD Fireball: choice of Bridgestone YJC,
MG Yellow, Maxxis HG3
Biland SA250: choice of Bridgestone YJC,
MG Yellow, Maxxis HG3
Q. Why does TaG not run on one tyre?
A. TaG is made up from several classes. Keeping karters on their existing class tyre allows drivers to race a single engine class or TaG with only a change in weight for parity. This assists the karter because they only have to set the kart up for one type of tyre and they only have to purchase one type of tyre.
